After a fellow photographer suggested we should try something different and see if we could find a light house to take some pictures off, we found a few places to go to within two hours drive. He found a great spot I had totally missed, Point of ayr lighthouse it was to be, this location is on a beach and is tidal, so after a brief weather and tide check we planned out a time. Another follow photographer was to joins us too.
We left the snow where we live and headed to the coastline, when we got there the wind was gusting and the wind chill was insane, two minutes without gloves and I had no feeling left in my hands, sand was blowing down the beach making sand swirls and a storm front was rolling in.
There was about forty minutes before the sun was due to set, so we all set about getting stuck in and ended up dotted around the beach all taking different approaches with different lens’s.
This was a very cold experience however I think it was defiantly worth the challenge for the pictures, including braving a driving snow front that rolled in from the ocean!
